BHPA    This is a catch-all term that has come to define the closely related sports of hang gliding, paragliding, parascending, powered paragliding (paramotoring) and powered hang gliding. In the UK free flying is supported and administered by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, a thriving sports association catering to around 7,000 pilots. The BHPA works closely with numerous recreational clubs that look after flying sites and offer guidance and assistance to pilots at a local level.

UHPC The Ulster Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club (UHPC) is the only hang gliding and paragliding club in Northern Ireland. Its forerunner, the Ulster Hang Gliding Club (UHGC), has been active in hang gliding in Northern Ireland since 1975. After gaining your Cp rating the UHPC / Members are there top help keep one another safe and to progress you further in your flying ability in a nice friendly warm environment with around 60 pilots who fly sites throughout the province. We have a mixture of inland and coastal sites which cater for every wind direction and are no more than an hours drive from most areas of the province.

IHPA is the local club for our Southern pilots for  Hang Gliding, Paragliding, Paramotoring and Powered Hang Gliding in Ireland. We were founded in 1974 as the Irish Hang Gliding Association and later expanded to include the newer sports of paragliding and foot-launched powered aviation.
